I Was Wrong is the third single from City Over Sand's new EP Half Full. This follows the release of Echo (February 2022) and Little Town (April 2022). The song was a semi-finalist in the 2021 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) and delivers on the themes of regret, redemption consequence and forgiveness.

It was my way or the highway. Your opinion mattered slightly. And you exist for me.
As I held on to you tightly. Carried on, high almighty. Please come on back to me.
I was wrong. I was useless I couldn’t see, 6 feet clear in front of me. I couldn’t even hold the door.
Little things that couldn’t wait, but for you I’d hesitate. Blurring the dream. I was wrong.
Let me make it up to you, one day at a time, those shallow words I’ve spoken, they’re not mine, anymore.
You should just go, I’ve been unfair, go on, go, escape now, be free. How much more could you really take?
You didn’t fall, you didn’t break. Scared to death to leave. I’ll make it up to you, they say. The words mean nothing, they fall away. Like a cliff into the sea. I was wrong.
